Havening Techniques® Practitioner Training

Now booking: July 2026 cohort

Four Monday evenings on Zoom. Small group of six. September dates also open.

Feel calmer, clearer, and more in control

Calm, client-focused sessions using Havening Techniques®, EFT, NLP, and hypnosis — delivered gently online, wherever you are.

How I can help you feel better

You don’t need to know exactly what you need — support is tailored to you, delivered gently and at your pace.

Anxiety & overwhelm

When your thoughts won’t slow down, your body feels tense, or everyday life starts to feel like too much.

I can help you calm your nervous system, reduce anxiety responses, and feel more grounded — so you can think more clearly and respond rather than react.

Trauma & stress responses

When past experiences still affect how you feel, think, or react today — even if you’re not sure why.

Using gentle, non-intrusive techniques, we work with the body and brain to soften stress responses and help your body feel safer and more in control.

Confidence, habits & weight support

When confidence feels fragile, habits feel hard to change, or weight struggles are tied to emotions rather than willpower.

We explore what’s happening beneath the surface, helping you build healthier patterns with compassion, not pressure.

Sue Hill standing with a horse in a peaceful outdoor setting

Hi, I'm Sue

I work with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by things they can’t always explain.

There is nothing wrong with you if you’re experiencing these difficulties. Your brain is doing exactly what it was designed to do — trying to keep you safe. Sometimes it simply becomes over-protective, responding to situations today as if past experiences are happening again.

My role is to meet you where you are and help your brain gently recognise what is a real threat now, and what no longer needs the same reaction.

I use a blend of Havening Techniques®, EFT, NLP, and hypnosis, always guided by what feels right for you. Sessions are client-led, practical, and compassionate, and take place online, so you can join from the comfort of your own space.

Above all, I believe that you already have the ability to heal and change. My job is to help you access it safely and confidently.

Also available — practitioner training

Become a Certified Havening Techniques® Practitioner

The four evenings teach you the work. Certification as a Havening Techniques Practitioner, accredited by Havening Techniques HQ, comes after — and you are not left alone to find your way through it.

Havening was developed by Dr Ron Ruden and Dr Steve Ruden over more than 20 years. It is grounded in neuroscience and informed by ongoing research into how the brain processes emotional experiences and memories.

You already do good work — and every so often someone gets stuck in a place your current tools can't quite reach. Havening works alongside language, and adds something to it.

What working together looks like

Sessions are calm, collaborative, and led by what feels right for you — there’s no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready.

1.

A gentle first conversation

(No fixing. No pressure.)

We start with a relaxed conversation where you can share as much or as little as you want. There’s no expectation to have the “right” words — we simply begin where you are.

This first session is about understanding what you’d like support with, answering your questions, and helping your nervous system settle.

2.

Sessions guided by you

(You stay in control.)

Each session is guided by what feels right for you on the day. I’ll suggest techniques when appropriate, but you’re always in control — you can pause, stop, or change direction at any time.

Nothing is done to you. We work together, at your pace.

3.

Gentle, body-aware techniques

(Supported and at your pace.)

With Havening, we briefly bring a memory or issue to mind so the brain recognises it, and then use soothing, sensory techniques to remove the emotional charge linked to it. This process is carefully guided, paced, and designed to feel safe and manageable.

Once the emotional response is resolved, it does not return — even though the memory itself remains.

4.

Practical support you can take away

(Not just insight — real change.)

Sessions are practical as well as supportive. With Havening, changes can happen very quickly — sometimes within minutes — because we are creating a biological shift in how the brain responds.

You will also leave sessions with simple tools you can use in everyday life to support your nervous system and maintain a greater sense of balance and control.

What my clients have to say

I have been lucky to work with some amazing people, here a what just a few of them have to say.

I wasn't quite sure how ready I was to address my less than healthy eating patterns. Sue met my right there and supported me in connecting with what I wanted at a deeper level. It felt very natural and easeful, and instead of yet another unrealistic plan, I came out with ideas that I started putting into practice right after the session. I genuinely appreciate her care for helping me find my own way of changing my relationship with food. Thank you!

- CLIENT

Hi Sue, Thank you for our previous session. The exercise you’ve prescribed helped me a lot in realising that I’d had a coping/escape mechanism long before I turned to food and other compulsions, such as TV, books or shopping. It was a revelation! Thank you for helping me realise that. I look forward to our session tomorrow. Best regards
